I Spent Years Watching Parents Fall Apart in a System That Was Supposed to Help Them. So I am doing something about it

Therapists take care of your child. I take care of you

Who Am I?

setting in office

For 11 years, I worked in the healthcare Field. I saw families at their most vulnerable in hospital rooms, in waiting rooms, in hallways where they held it together before walking back in to face another day.

Previously, I worked for 4 years in ABA providing Direct behavioral support to neurodivergent children,

I was in homes. In clinics. In schools. Right next to the children and right next to the parents who were running on empty.

And here's what I saw, over and over:The child had a team. A therapist. A BCBA. A speech pathologist. An occupational therapist. A teacher. A case manager. A developmental pediatrician.

The parent had no one.The parent was the one managing all of those people.Scheduling. Driving. Coordinating. Translating. Advocating. Fighting insurance. Reading reports they didn't understand. Sitting in meetings for hours with little to no results. Going home and trying to be a spouse. A parent to their other kids. And somehow still a person, while their nervous system was screaming.

I'm not ABA. I'm not an advocate. I'm not another facebook group. I'm the person in your corner. The one who already speaks your language. The one who shows up every week and asks how YOU are doing and actually listens to the answer. I'm your Navigator. Founded by an experienced Parent Navigator with over a decade in direct healthcare (LPN), years working directly with neurodivergent children and their families (ABA)• Trained in IEP processes, IDEA law, behavioral frameworks, insurance navigation, and the emotional landscape of neurodivergent parenting, Mental Health First Aid & Trauma-Informed Care certified. Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA) Pending Board Examination.

Serving families in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC & Florida for in-person /virtually, and nationwide virtually. In addition to supporting parents, Kabbiean works directly with neurodivergent adults who need guidance navigating the systems, workplaces, and daily challenges that come with a brain that works differently.

Everyone deserves someone in their corner. Not someday. Now. You shouldn't have to earn support by reaching your breaking point first. Your feelings are not a weakness. They're proof you care deeply. You are the expert in your life. You just need someone who helps you get through the bad days. Asking for help is not giving up. It's the bravest thing you'll do.

If any of this sounds like your life ?

I'm here.

 Who Supports The Parents?

Nobody was taking care of the parents. Not the therapist, they focused on the child. Not the school, they focused on compliance. Not the doctor, See you for 15 minutes and a prescription pad. Not the insurance company, they focused on denying. Not the Facebook groups, conflicting advice and judgment.

Nobody was sitting with the parents and saying: How are you? What do you need? Let me help you think through this. "So I built Curated Parents Navigator, dedicated to Parents . Not because I wanted to start a business But because I couldn't keep watching parents drown in a system that was supposed to help them.

Kabbiean Crossley offers IEP meeting support, special education advocacy guidance, and parent navigation services for families who need someone in their corner.
